Second Chance Hobby Store

What is the Second Chance Hobby Store?

Our Second Chance Hobby Store is where you’ll find pre-loved hobby and craft items!

All sales will raise vital funds for Hopian.

Image of donated items

Your unwanted items could give someone else a new hobby, a summer holiday activity, or simply a little joy.

Donations can be dropped off, once arranged, at Hopian, 18a High Street, Rotherham Town Centre.

To help us manage donations and make sure someone is available to receive them, please email enquiries@hopian.org.uk to arrange a suitable drop-off time.

Donate your hobby or craft materials!

Do you have unused hobby or craft supplies tucked away at home, or gifts that never quite got used?

We would love donations such as:

  • Jigsaws
  • Diamond art kits
  • Cross-stitch and sewing kits
  • Colouring books
  • Lego
  • Fidget toys
  • Craft sets
  • Model kits
  • Other clean, good-quality hobby items

Donations should be:

  • Clean and odour-free.
  • Free from damage, mildew, or heavy wear.
  • Suitable for resale.

Please note, not all accepted donations might be sold; some may be:

  • Used for activity sessions.
  • Included in mystery packs.
  • Passed on to other organisations
  • Recycled if unsuitable for sale
  • We cannot return donated items once they have been accepted.

About the temporary closure

Coming soon! Second Chance Hobby Store

We know Frith Space means a lot to many people, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back. We do not expect this closure to last long. In the meantime, we will offer community activities at Rise House (Hopian’s HQ in the same building) and share more information soon.

Why is Frith Space closing for a short time?

The funding for the community facility is ending, so we need to make some changes to how Frith Space will operate. Because of this, Frith Space Community Café will close from 29 May for a short time while we plan the next stage.

What to expect when Frith Space reopens

When Frith Space reopens, it will still be a welcoming community space, but it will look a little different. This is likely to include:

  • New opening times
  • A stronger focus on making sure the café can keep going financially
  • A small shop within the café
  • A dedicated craft and art space
  • More paid activities and room hire

Frith Space Community Cafe is part of Hopian, a local charity that has provided support to adults, young people, and children affected by domestic abuse and child sexual exploitation since 1976.

Hopian is a Charity registered in England & Wales: no. 1141699.
