Trauma-Informed Project Worker

  • Hours: Full-time – 35 hours per week
  • Salary: ยฃ25,486โ€“ยฃ26,919 per annum (FTE)
  • Location: Central Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a site-based role.
  • Contract: 8-month fixed-term contract (We hope to extend this role further, subject to funding)

Do you want to be part of a team that helps people rebuild their lives after domestic abuse?

Hopian is looking for a compassionate, organised and resilient Trauma-informed Project worker to join our domestic abuse service. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting people affected by domestic abuse and trauma to access safe, respectful and person-centred support.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible following completion of the required pre-employment checks.

You will

  • Support people affected by domestic abuse and trauma.
  • Manage a caseload and respond promptly to referrals.
  • Work across different areas of the service according to need.
  • Provide safe, respectful support that helps people feel heard and understood.
  • Work within a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
  • Help individuals understand their options and make informed choices.
  • Promote our services and help more men feel confident accessing support.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Calm, compassionate and approachable.
  • Organised and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Resilient and able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in supporting people with diverse needs.
  • Flexible and adaptable when priorities change.
  • Committed to trauma-informed practice and excellent support

Training requirement

Induction training is planned over two days during the week commencing 22 July, followed by three additional training days the following week.

Successful candidates will be invited to attend these sessions.

Appointment and start dates remain subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
